The Malaysia Commercialisation Year (MCY) serves as a platform to support local researchers, innovators, and entrepreneurs in commercializing their research and development (R&D) products in both local and international markets. Since 2016, various assistance and intervention programs have been implemented under the MCY platform. These programs include mentoring sessions, training, pitching opportunities, funding support, and participation in exhibitions, all aimed at enhancing the commercialization of local R&D products, technologies, and services.
In line with this, the 1st/2023 MCY Steering Committee Meeting was held on June 15, 2023, with YB Mr. Chang Lih Kang, Minister of Science, Technology & Innovation, as the chairperson. The meeting was attended by representatives from different Ministries/Government Agencies. As part of the meeting, the MCY Secretariat organized the Local R&D Product Sales Program.
